The ten acre site at Chapel Waters is located close to the Chesterfield Canal in Rhodesia; a small ex-mining village in the county of Nottinghamshire consisting of just over three hundred houses, a pub at Woodend, one shop, a school and a village hall. The population of the civil parish is just 982 and it was named after the erstwhile chairman of the nearby Shireoaks Colliery, G. Preston Rhodes. Originally the homes were built to provide housing for workers from the nearby Shireoaks and Steetley pits and Tylden Road which is the main road through the village, was named after the pit’s first manager.

Chapel Waters is a boutique development of newly built homes and it is estimated the new population of Chapel Waters will be around 270 people once the development is completed. There is a diverse selection of homes offered including a variety of bungalows (2 and 3 bedrooms), stylish 3 and 4 bedroom detached family homes along with 2 and 3 bedroom semi detached houses ideal for young professionals, first time buyers and smaller families.

The development is well placed for the M1, A1, Sheffield, Chesterfield, Rotherham and Doncaster and within easy reach is Meadowhall Shopping Centre, National Trust Clumber Park and Rother Valley Country Park.

Chapel Waters is a new housing development designed by Architects CODA Studios and has been designed to create a new rural community for downsizers, families, first time buyers and young professionals.

It is estimated the new population of Chapel Waters will eventually be around 270 people- almost a third of the existing community. The attractive design of the homes also takes reference from the regions vernacular past and features a soft red brick, painted brickwork, natural stone and pan tiled roofs all with large expansive glazing to maximize natural light.

A perimeter loop road will encircle the development feeding into central private drives, tree-lined streets with landscaping and close to an area of public open ‘wildscape’ and feature naturel water pond for the residents to enjoy.

Lauren has been with the development at Chapel Waters since its inception and is the go to girl with any questions about the project. Before she joined our sales team she spent the last 4 years as a wedding planner ensuring smooth running of the event and the bride and groom had the best day of their lives. Her skills ported over Lauren has a real eye for interior design, photography, social media and show home presentation. Lauren is a real Summer girl, she loves sunshine, beaches, sipping cocktails and shopping so her go to destination for a holiday had to be Dubai. Having said that she is also a night owl with the sunset being her favourite time of day.
